Morning Prayer At Mount Kinabalu

My Heavenly Father
my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
thank you for bringing
my son and I
to this wonderful mountain top
to give rest to our tired bodies
and freshness to our souls...
Thank you Lord
for the morning birds
which praise you from the cliffs
with their songs,
for the lush pine trees
and the giant ferns,
for the wild flowers
which adorn the cold mountain earth,
and for the green and perennial grass...
Thank you Lord
for the cool and gentle morning breeze
which gently touches my skin,
for the clouds which rest
on top of the towering mountain.
Thank you for the kind men and women
whom you brought to our way...
Thank you Lord
for giving me good eyes
to see and enjoy the wonder
of Your creation,
and thank you Lord
for giving me the faith and heart of a child
to praise You for all these things.
Amen.
